At a black tie dinner in Newcastle on April 25, Axwell Gardens collected the highest accolade at the 2008 Journal / Evening Gazette "21st Century Living Awards".
Almost 400 construction representatives saw DARE's Tony Stubbs presented with not only the top prize of Overall Winner, but also the award for Best Townhouse, with the judges calling the development "brave, bold and truly impressive". Axwell Gardens was also named runner-up in the Best Interior Showhome catagory.
Tony said "We try to do things differently and come up with exciting and unusual developments. We also try to keep an open mind as to what people want.
"I have a fantastic team who are seriously dedicated to providing the best.
"It could not have come at a better time as it is the 250th anniversary of the hall".
